Mr. Richards

Ok so I've heard some gossip about one of Booker T. Teacher Mr. Richards. He has apparently had a stroke causing him to be paralyzed. I am not sure how severe his condition is or whether he will recover. So far it sounds like Mr. Richards will not he returning to school. I just wanted to let you guys know.

instruments

Recently in Mr. Richard's class for nu-works we had the assignment of making/bringing an instrument. Being the creative kids we are, it was less than I thought we would see. Still there were some pretty outrageous contraptions. There were shakers, a one stringed cello, a cigar box guitar, a glass tapper, and one even used his voice. Some used rubber bands, others used pots and pans. Sorry had to throw a little rhyme time in! But you get the point. Regardless it was fun!

Circles Pt. 1

So from Mr. Richards we received an assignment in which we had to draw 5 circles an two of them had to be bleeding off the page. the remanding space outside the circles had to be filled with some kind of texture. my drawing was filled with a texture that increased in size as you go across the page. then with stripes.

Movement

This past class period we talked about movement with one of the dance teachers, Mr. Richards. He is a bit crazy. he has a land called Siberia in his class where the incorporative people go, and then this whole ostrage that he calls people. But you know all brilliant people are crazy in some way. And yea, it was really fun. We had to do all these things with our bodies that most of us had never done before (i had because i dance outside of school) and we looked crazy!! At first everyone was like why are we doing this, and concerned about how they looked. By the end we all were comfortably bad and we accepted ourselves and our MOVEMENT!!

Nu Works

Nu Works....yes i spelled it correctly but, its this class im in. So its kind of cool and what it is is this class that combines other classes into one. like, here at booker t., we have cluster classes and academic classes. so in nu-works we use bits of everything, but mostly cluster stuff. so far we have done some projects including both live and pre-recorded performances. thats all for now but ill tell you when we do more awsome stuff!

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was the founder of apple. If he and his company had not done all that it has, the world of technology would not be the same as it is. Apple came out with the first touch screen home phone back in 1983.Of course it wasn't compact like the phones today, but it was a huge leap in technology. Since then apple has been a leader in development of technology. Steve Jobs retired shortly before his death but will always be remembered.
